Handmade ceramic – espresso cups, mugs, pots. Small, honest, crafted by a friend ceramicist who makes every piece by hand for us.

Why the cup influences your coffee
Ceramic is more than a vessel. Shape, wall thickness, surface, and glaze change the temperature, mouthfeel, and even how you perceive the aromas in your coffee. A thick-walled cup keeps espresso hot longer. A wide opening lets aromas develop. A matte glaze feels earthier than a glossy one.
Our ceramic comes from a friend ceramicist who crafts every piece in small batches exclusively for us. No mass production, no middlemen. Each piece is individually thrown or cast, hand-glazed, and fired – which means slight variations. That's exactly what makes the difference.

Small physics, big difference
Temperature: Thick ceramic retains heat longer. An espresso in a prewarmed, thick-walled cup stays hot to drink 30–45 seconds longer than in thin porcelain.
Opening geometry: A convex shape focuses aromas toward your nose. A wide, concave opening lets them spread. That's why filter coffees taste more intense from wide bowls.
Surface: Matte glazes and unglazed areas at the rim change the mouthfeel. Many guests describe coffee from matte ceramic as 'softer'.
